IQAC

Introduction

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Orange City College of Social Work was established on 10th July, 2010. In accordance with the directions proposed by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore and pursuance of the Action Plan for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, the institution established an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) for adopting quality sustenance measure. The quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC is a vital part of the institution’s system and work towards realization of the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the overall performance of institutions.

The IQAC of the Institution constitutes of the members from the management, administrations, teaching, non-teaching, student, alumni, and stakeholders. The IQAC calls formal meetings of the members at intervals so as to take in account the opinions and perspective of the members from different fields adjacent to the curriculum and institution. The opinions and suggestions received during these meets are processed to be implemented with consent for the betterment of the Institutions.

Objective of IQAC:

The IQAC of the institution strives to bring in the all-round development of the different wings of the institutional mechanism. Accordingly, to gain the broader perspective, the IQAC involves representatives from different professional sections of the society in its composition. The objectives of the IQAC of the institution are as follows.

  1. To bring in all round development of the academic and administrative functions and components of the institution.
  2. To motivate the members of the institution to internalize and realize the objectives & ideals visualize by the institution for the institutional advancement.
  3.  To ensure the quality enhancement through different activities and programs organized by the cell for academic progress.
  4. To motivate the different personnel of the institution to involve into the activities related to the academic development of the individual.



Composition of IQAC of the Institution:

The institution aims at inviting the expertise from the external field for getting the expert insight from outside the institution for impressing comprehensive impact upon the functions. Thus the IQAC constitutes of the members from parents, alumni, students, NGO representatives, etc. besides this representatives from management, administrative, teaching and non-teaching staff also constitute IQAC.

The end behind the composition is to bring in the comprehensive impact upon the every activity of the institution and thus to make the teaching-learning experience enriching for the learners, enrolling into the institution.
