Our History
Orange City College of Social Work is recognized by Govt. of Maharashtra and it is affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University Nagpur & University Grants Commission, New Delhi under section-2 (f). The institution is accretited ‘B’ grade by NAAC, Banglore. It is located near the famous Shri Mahalaxmi Jagdamba temple & MSEB Power plant of Koradi, Nagpur. The Orange City College of Social Work was established under the leadership of Dr. CHANDANSINGH ROTELE and under the auspice of GRAM UTKARSHA SHIKSHAN SANSTHA NAGPUR.
The College was founded on 10th December 1999 on the eve of International Human Rights Day It was started with the aim and purpose of serving the society and its students should have the mind of serving the Country. Students are accepted as they are with their weakness and strength as per the 1st Principle of Social Work.
The real Social Work education should involve in Man Building task than memory building. The education should tune up the students minds for originality and creativity. The students are properly trained to face the problems without any fear or favor. The education that they get should also inculcate in them the Confidence, courage and conviction. Just stimulating the intellectual ability of the students in education at institutions is not main purpose of social work education. The important object of the education is to develop the total personality of students and there by enabling them to be good human being.
